For over twenty years, Gratis 7 Media Group has produced cinematic documentaries rooted in compelling characters, honest human experience, and stories worth telling.

We believe impact begins with the film itself. It has to entertain, surprise, and challenge, an audience long after the credits. Without that, everything that follows is simply a campaign without a story.

But we also believe a great documentary can do more.

From the earliest stages of development, we consider story, audience, funding, marketing, distribution, and impact together, protecting the creative integrity of the film while building the strategy that will help it find its audience and move beyond the screen.

Each of our film have there own purpose, its own audience, and its own definition of impact. We build distribution, partnerships, and engagement around those objectives, then measure success not simply by how many people watched, but by what changed because they did.

The landscape for independent film continues to evolve. How films are funded, discovered, distributed, and experienced is changing with it. Our work sits at the intersection of filmmaking and impact—combining the craft of cinematic storytelling with the systems required to bring those stories into the world.
